Going Down Under

3 years ago, I quit my job at Northwestern Mutual, sold most of my personal possessions and moved to Barcelona even though I knew no one and didn’t speak Spanish (or Catalan). That adventure (chronicled here) spanned over 25 cities in 11 countries throughout Europe. It was an incredible experience that strongly defined who I am today.

Well, I’m doing it again. This past Friday I put in my notice at Tribune. I will be spending most of the summer in Barcelona, with long stays in Dublin, Madrid, London, Athens, Istanbul and Bangkok before making my way to Sydney.

My last day in Chicago is May 29th. I depart for Dublin on June 4th.
